AQ UV Water Treatment

American Ultraviolet AQ series UV water treatment units are designed specifically for residential and light commercial, applications, and utilize the same technology necessary to safety and effectively purify water used in everything from soft drinks to shampoo. These economical fixtures are available in a wide range of flow rates, making them ideal for individual point-of use applications as well as whole-house installations.

Applications

AQ series water treatment units from American Ultraviolet can be used to treat an individual faucet, multiple faucets, or installed to purify water throughout an entire home of small business - any water source where it's important to provide bacteria and virus protection.

AQ Series Specification

Every AQ series unit is tested prior to shipment to ensure the highest qualtiy. Each unit consists of a stainless steel vessel and electronic enclosure, lamp, quartz sleeve, electronic ballast, lamp out indicator and power cord.

Vessel and Power Enclosure

Vessels are constructed of passivated 304 stainless steel. All components are integrated into one assembly, for ease of maintenance, and the electronic enclosure is attached to the vessel, which is individually pressure-tested and rated for 125 psi maximum operating pressure.

Ballast

The solid-state electronic ballasts furnished with this series are Class P rapid start with a power factor minimum of .95. Ballasts operate at 120V/60 Hz and the minimum ballast start temperature is minus 20 degrees F. Ballasts are UL listed and have a RFI - EMI rating as defined by FCC part 18A for industrial/commercial applications in regards to suppression. Ballasts are mattached to lampts for optimal lamp life and UVC output.

Lamps

AQ series UVC lamps are of the Slimline hard quartz glass variety for superior UV transmittance. Lamps shall retain, at minimum, 80% of their intial output after 12,000 hours of use. Electrodes are designed to maximise plasma convection and stability for superior lamp performance. Lamps are sized with flow rates for vessels to provide a minimum dosage of 30,000 micro W/cm sq.
